Lolling in Lull

Yes I have been very quiet since last two days. There haven't been any visits to the hospital. There hasn't been a transfusion since almost two days. I am lying to you. There has been a transfusion which happened outside the walls of my hospital - transfusion of quarter of a bag of "nine-to-five" working day. And even with just that quarter of a bag I felt so invigorated. I dearly miss the full dose of working eight hours at office and that wonderful tiredness that you experience once you get back home, a tiredness that says you had a really good day at work. I am hoping that I get transfused with innumerable eight working hours days really soon.
Tomorrow we will be going for blood report again. From my bodily symptom it seems that my platelets are still at healthy level. In the last report the ANC (Absolute Neutrophil Count) was still on the lower side. It was roughly 540 neutrophils in 2000 WBCs. We want ANC to go above 1000. And my body just whispered to me, "dude, don't worry - we will get there!" :)

  1. Great going indeed! "... once you get back home, a tiredness that..." is so true! You have to feel it to believe it.

  2. Hi Beta,

I just read your blog. I can see with my unseeing eyes that a rushing flow of WBC, RBC and platelets is entering your body. And you know the supplier very well. Who else? Our Great "Maa".

And tomorrow (I mean today) when you will enter your body's classroom, you will find that the classroom is flooding with your pupils. And when you start taking the attendance they will shout back "Present Sir!". But wait, I see some more of these pupilsstanding by the door. You are looking at them questioningly and ask them to explain their tardiness. They enter the room with a hung head and request forgiveness for coming late from their long vacation. You forgive them with a stern face and warn them that since it is their first time you can let it go, but the mistake should not be repeated again.

All the best and all the blessings!

    Love,
    Maa

  3. Dear Maa,

You should be blogging on your own instead of simply commenting. Now I can see where I got my "writing genes" from :).

Thanks for your blessings. Yes yours and Maa's blessings will see me through this woeful time.

    Love,
    Kartik

  6. No comments on the dialogu between two branches of the tree and the tree it self. It was nice to read the conversation.

Well, I could very easily guess Respected Maami ("Maa") must be a teacher in her days she pictured the class room exactly.

About the RBC,WBC, ANC and platetes. Well, they have enetered the one way of "increasing trend". They have no option but to rise. but, they need our push so, here is the one..... :)

  7. Good deduction Milind! Maa was indeed a teacher many many years back :).

Yes she definitely is the tree and we her branches. Good analogy! :)

  8. What a wonderful exchange of dialogues ! I can see where Kartik gets his literary talent from now. Maybe the Rindani family can make a career in Bollywood as writers :)
